isn't it by bloodstone, though?

oh, that end bit when it kicks into that upbeat part with the strings, and that melody? love it!

"Diamonds on my Windshield" - Tom Waits, from "The Heart of Saturday Night"

"...and there's a Duster tryin' to change my tune, he's pullin up fast on the right..."

I don't really think in terms of "desert island discs", but this would be one - I like to get hammered alone and sing along with "Please Call Me Baby"

Last train to Satansville.

Best song ever.

Anyone ever notice the Good Bad and the Ugly quote during the outro solo on the Maxwells version on the download page?

Navigating Flood Regions by Guided by Voices.

Anyone see their recent Austin City Limits performance? I know, I know, Bob was too drunk, and the cut and paste setlist kind of annoyed me. The Modest Mouse set before GbV was even better.

I need someones help...
I have a lonely mp3 that is insanely awesome in a folder and I don't know who it is or where I got it?
I think I got it from a link one of you left somewhere on this forum but I can't figure out where...
here's how it's titled:

TEWBK_Always_looking_out.mp3

I need to figure it out because I want to buy the CD.

Tangled Up In Plaid - Queens of the Stone Age
off Lullabies to Paralyze

Got ahold of the new one, comes out next month. Josh Homme has the heaviest tone. He tunes down two full steps, and uses four wound strings. I've tried it on my Les Paul, string control is pretty difficult. They're fucking rattlin' all over the place.

Thanks Boomer - you rock. It says "pre-order" and I can't see when it's coming out... I might wait until I see when it's going to be released. Can't wait!

Both. However, Ive just recently began with torrents. Im still learning. Soulseek is my weapon of choice because of the vast variety of music you can find that you just cant get in the stores around here. Like Im going to find Fireside in Best Buy.

Have you checked out Indie Torrents? By far my favorite. I got tired of P2P because you're never guaranteed to get a whole album, or good quality, or correct song tags. Indie Torrents membership is full, but I have some invites left if you're interested.

Thanks Melwas - at the time I didn't know the NAME of the band - I only had my mp3 titled TEWBK... so I had no clue what that stood for.
for all I new it could have been:
Two Ewoks Wrestling Butt Knockers
Anyway - I emailed the Chalksound label and they informed me it's getting released Feb 21! I'm gonna get it!
Thaks again Boomer for your detective work!

Today...
Catherine Wheel - "Crank"
off - Chrome

Man, Im in a punk rock mood today!

Lagwagon - Razor Burn - Live In a Dive

This band has stood the test of time with me. Back in the early 90's I listened to a lot of punk. Pennywise, Rancid, No Use For a Name, NOFX, Bad Religion, Black Flag, Minor Threat. Ive outgrew all of them with the exception of Minor Threat (huge Fugazi fan) and Lagwagon. I freaking love those guys.

If life is but a dream, wake me.

"I don't know much about Skywave, except that they're supposed to be really loud. But I know neither Malory or Sciflyer played with them."

Actually, we (Sciflyer) have played a show with Highspire. It was on our summer '03 tour, at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA, also with Stellarscope. Highspire was also scheduled to play with the same line-up in Philadelphia the night before, but canceled for health reasons and were replaced that night by Project Skyward.

PS - new Sciflyer CD coming in June '05 on Clairecords - "The Age of Lovely, Intimate Things". (possible US tour in July & August)
