I like them in chronological order the best. Pikul is my favourite as it has great time changes and is not so rushed and polished. ...All The Inbetweens, Booksmart Devil, Creation Lake being my favourite SP tracks of all.

I got onto the Silversun's at the same time I met my partner. Sentimentally my favourite band!

At first listen I decided that it was far to soon to have a Smashing Pumpkins clone band. I do think that the Pumpkins first 2 albums were great and then they took a shit.
Anyway, the more I listen to the SSPU's the more I'm hooked. I just ordered Swoon and Pikul....thanks for the input my brother.

Cheers to you and your lass.

Ah now that takes me back. Hard to go past the intensity of "Berlin Chair". I wonder what happened to the old guy dancing in the Video? I swear I,ve bumped into him(literally) outside a few gigs, years ago, around Sydney. No doubt doing that video brought him no end of joy.

Todays favourite, after noodling through some old vinyl last night.

Died Pretty - Laughing Boy.
"In this town, broken dreams".

I got a bad pressing of Free Dirt. It has like a kink in it that makes the whole album sound like it has been run through a vibrato at 33rpm(slow). Kind of compliments the sound though, almost in keeping with the bands style

Silversun Pickups-"Catch And Release"

On first listen I found "Pikul" to be a sraight liner for me. No peaks,it just seems so dead.

Swoon on the other hand, is digesting well.

Cool Rocket, I knew there had to be another Appleseed fan on here. I love that album. It was actually another SWD fan that introduced me to them some 10 years back.

right on Zed. Appleseed Cast are/were a Lawrence band - which is just 45 minutes outside of Kansas City. They are truly one of my favorites of all time - love the guitar and vocals - everything really....
Somehow, I never bought Sagarmatha until '10 - but, if I had bought it the year before - that album would have made last years "top 10 list for sure. Mind blowing.

Today was a big day for The Intelligence. If you haven't checked out my "top 10" - they're on there. I highly recommend the new disk - but, everything they have done, that I have heard, has been awesome.

Today...
The Intelligence - "Like Like Like Like Like Like Like"
off - Males

The One With "Kid" - Local H, the lead track off of "12 Angry Months".

Love this song! Favorite line: "Where's my, my AC/DC? My Interpol? My Libertines? Where's my, my Kyuss records? You never liked them til you met me!"

If you're going through a rough break up (which Im not, by the way), this is the album for you.

Thanks Zed - I'm stoked you like it.

I've been wanting to switch out some of those tracks for a handful of new ones and a few different older ones... when I do I'll give everyone here a heads up.

Today...
Iggy & The Stooges - Search And Destroy
off - Raw Power

been listening to a bunch of my favorite old punk bands... Bad Brains, Minor Threat...

I'm also so curious to hear what Dead Kennedys are sounding like without Biafra. But, you know East Bay Ray is still slaughtering it!
