Bleach rules. The Negative Creep riff was lifted from the Melvins 'Zodiac'. But yeah, Bleach kills.

That is an Oz classic for sure. Reminds me of Sunday sessions on the balcony, sun blearing down. Its now the best track Ive heard today.

Who put Dismemberment Plan on a "3.1" WAB. I thought today, shit this is a new approach Minus The Bear. Then checked and found it wasn't actually them. That was my previous fave.

Today, it's definitely: Decoder Ring-Somersault. I was listening to an old WAB from Croz, driving to work, when a small snow shower hit. The lyrics to this tune said something similar, and it was just a beautiful tune, so...it set the mood for the day. I don't think most of their material is similar though?

I make sure I listen to Somersault each time I go skiing. Beautiful tunes for a beautiful place.

Best track today as I make a playlist for a card night:

Drivin And Crying - Rush Hour (Jamesg, Im not sure if if the band is Rush Hour or Drivin And Cryin?) Whatever Im going for a fast rock feel and it suits. Oh for some Motorhead..

Hey - Uncle Gene

Thanks to your recent recommendation of 78 Saab - I just bought "Crossed Lines" this morning. They've been on "the list" to buy for quite some time now and I finally pulled the trigger.

I wanted the first disk with "Sunshine" on it - such a great tune! But, unfortunately it's not available through iTunes - which seems strange to me...
"Crossed Lines" is great though.

Now I'm workin' in the drawing studio on the Sunday afternoon and I just pulled out "Congregation" by The Afghan Whigs - damn I love this disk! I've been kinda trying to figure out a "10 top favorite albums of all time list" - and this particular one might be a contender. Every song is sooooo gooooood.

I've been thinkin' about the Afghan Whigs lately because there are a couple tracks on "The Family Afloat" by the Bound Stems where the singer reminds me a bit of the guy from the Whigs...
that's a good one too.

Cool, Rocket. Sunshine is on the first CD, which is impossible to get here, or next to impossible. YOu can get The Bell's Line (their current one) on Amazon and the like. If you like Crossed Lines, get the new one..it's amazing. Not a single dud track on it..the tunes flow seemingly into one another, and Ben Nash's songwriting is just plain over the top.

Yeah, I love that one. I have the Complete Silent Way box which is great. There's some stuff that made it to the Kilimanjaro record, and a few things that were never released, including a version of Silent before Miles stripped everything out of it, which is kind of neat to hear. It's nothing compared to the final version, but still....

Fuck yes James! I just had that one on recently. You know, oddly enough, I think my favorite track on that one is Vein Melter.

Check out "Thrust", it's the Herbie record immediately following Headhunters. Same band except one member. Sounds like Headhunters part 2.

"All Blues" - Miles

Sometimes I like to sort alphabetically by songs on the iPod and just pick a letter. Today it was the A's on the way to work, including Afterglow (SWD), Alive (PJam), and Miles Davis. Not a bad way to start my day.
