Today...
the Janes boot from Darshun - totally sweet! I imagine one reason they have stayed so freakin' awesome is that Perry is still so freakin' awesome!
It's tough to pick a favorite from the show though - maybe 1%
or Whores
or Had A Dad...

Helmet in the early 90's were absolutely untouchable. I still love that stuff.

yeah Hayseed - Helmet hit the road in oz recently and to have the pub crowd ringing out those opening words "earth tone suit you, so give it a smile" and playing an absolute tight show, was one of those moments. I reackon too Loper...I still love it.

J-mo, there's this young band from this town near where i live and they are about 12yrs old on average and they cover everything AccaDacca! I think they recently won entry to the final of 'world battle of the bands' in the UK. They are called 'Powerage' and it seem they don't have too far to go to get to the top!

Check em!...think the older guy in there bumps up the average age - might be their dad?! http://www.poweragerox.com/

Im liking Crackerz more Nyte. And Poniez...that sample, did it originally go something like "I want to be free to do what I want to do....I want to get loaded, and have a good time. We're going to have a party..." I cant rem the name of the track that I heard it from and its killing me... I thought Happy Mondays, but think Im wrong. HELP me Drmcd!

Crozzz: Movie source is Roger Corman's "The Wild Angels", Peter Fonda's courtroom speech near the end of the movie. One phrase of the speech was first used in 1988 by Mudhoney to open "Slidin In n Out of Grace", off Superfuzz Bigmuff.

What you are thinkin of is "Loaded", Primal Scream, from 1991. They used a bit more of the speech to open the song, but then defaulted to smaller samples in the body of the song.

We did ours a little differently, spreading the whole speech over the whole song.

And I think we used it better too

I'd provide links to all this stuff but I started a temp job and apparently they have youtube blocked here. Fuckers.

I always like a good folk song once in awhile. If you read the lyrics, you'll notice he did say Merry Christmas.
