I have to agree that it does sound a bit dated now, but then again I like that sometimes. I think its still their best LP.

i rem listening to Ride in bed as going to sleep thinking it was so lovely and ephemeral but cant stand it now. I wish I could coz I got hordes of enjoyment out of Nowhere in particular. I keep trying it again but something has clunked in me for it.

"Drive Blind" RIDE (Live Brixton 1992) kickin' it like no other!

Agree with you about Loop too - got into these guys not too long back and thought i'd found a long lost treasure... a once awesome band.

I LOVE Nowhere! and imagine that I always will.

but, there's no need to force yourself Croz dresser - if it's not doin' it for ya just give it a rest.

Loop is really freakin' great Loper! - I put a track on the WAB that I made for you guys that I haven't ever mailed... (I still plan on getting these bad boys out though...)
A Gilded Eternity is my favorite of the 2 I have. give me a shout if you want some email action.

great youtube clips Snail! I'm gonna have to pull smile out again.

I stumbled upon Ride in college on Going Blank Again. I basically found Nowhere and Raise about the same time = GOLD!!!

But, I didn't find Loop until just last year myself! A friend at work new I'd love them once we started checkin' out each others shared playlists... great stuff.

AC/DC - "Shoot to Thrill"

I gotta say that all of Jeronimo's AC/DC postings have gotten through to me. I was out and about on Saturday and spied 'Back in Black' for $9USD at a certain big-box retailer. It immediately took me back to the early 80's when we listened to the tape on the boom box until it wore out. Needless to say, it's been playing in the family car nonstop since then.

Its a marketing ploy. Perhaps Angus and boys don't have much say anymore.
I don't like it either.

It would be so cool if they did a small club tour. It would really show what AC/DC is all about. And it would restart the band to write better material.

Wal Mart is God!!!!!!!!!!!!

AC/DC need to market themselves? I don't get it. I think those guys have PLENTY of say in the matter. They're AC/fucking/DC. Major labels to this day would do virtually anything to release something of theirs. You can't turn on FM radio for ten minutes without hearing them. It's as if the more rich you are, the more money you deserve. Think of how many cool points a band like that could get if they said, look, we're rich so we're gonna do a club tour for ten bucks a ticket. I mean, what's this all about anyway? It's rock and roll, not the super bowl.

I think AC/DC is getting a pretty good deal being exclusive with wallyworld. And the band seems to have some sort of vendetta against iTunes, so they do get say in these decisions.

Unfortunately, even if they did the club tour, only the bigwigs who scratch backs for favors would get the tix. And then give them away to their snotty rich kids. Now maybe if they did a sale through their website for the fans...

My fave tonight is... "Fall of the Angry Clowns" - The Life and Times off the forthcoming Tragic Boogie

edit: Looked up Ides of Space on the myspace and it would seem they have a new project called "Line Drawings". They seem to have the right friends (Polvo, dEUS, etc). Will chack them out. Your heard/likey Croz?

Yeah 256 isn't too bad for shitty mp3's. I just didn't feel like waiting to get the disc.

I'm still letting it sink in, but it's a great LP so far. I kinda wish there was more guitar.
